The performance “Mommy. 10 km.” presents one of the best examples of modern Ukrainian drama, which was included in the long list of the all-Ukrainian competition “July Honey”.
The production is based on two works by young Ukrainian playwrights: “One Day” by Lena Kudayeva and “Ten Kilometers” by Iryna Feofanova.
The first act tells about the fate of a boy who got into a difficult psychological situation. His dramatic feelings and experiences do not leave place for indifference.
The second act of the play recreates the relationship between the son and the mother, who pretends to be a sick person. Mother is nostalgic for her past life and dreams of returning to Donetsk, which she was forced to leave under the influence of difficult wartime circumstances.
