Колектив театру перебуває у простійному пошуку нових ідей. За останні роки щепкінська сцена стала справжньою творчою лабораторією не лише для провідних вітчизняних, але й зарубіжних режисерів.
Творчий колектив театру неодноразово гастролював не лише у знаних культурних центрах України, а й в театрах усього світу: Казахстану, Естонії, Молдови, Німеччини, Болгарії, Латвії тощо, де знайомив глядача із новітніми здобутками української та світової драматургії.
